Sunrise on the Currituck Sound by Jean Wiley

Monday, April 1st: The Day of Fools ushers in the Sun Pluto square that was exact late Easter evening. Awareness is bubbling forth surrounding any tensions regarding money, power and ambitions. Power struggles and tension (either felt internally or externally) is a signal that something needs reconciliation within self -what is it?

The Moon is traveling through philosophical Sagittarius bolstering the Sun Jupiter sextile that is exact at 8:25 a.m. EDT suggesting the desire/need for knowledge, learning and a sense of personal growth. A more supportive energy unfolds as we connect with our faith and belief that all is as it should be.

Early TUESDAY morning the Moon ingresses into pragmatic and practical Capricorn urging us on to focus and commit to a day of ambitious activity that furthers our progress.

Friday, March 29th: The Moon is transiting through the watery realms of Scorpio suggesting a time when we seek to understand the deeper meaning of things and motivations of others. Mercury is making contact with the Jupiter Chiron square which can bring an exaggerating quality to our sensitive as well as challenge a few core beliefs (useful). Mercury conjuncts Chiron in the early in the a.m. offering some intuitive insights into problems and insecurities - proceed gently.

Mercury then moves into square with Jupiter at 1 p.m. EDT adding to the inflated thought process and for some, self-righteous communication. This can also feel like information overload. But, we are quickly aided in our conceptual planning and thought as Mercury moves into a supportive sextile with Pluto at 2:30 p.m. EDT providing the desire to investigate further and to be more strategic in our decision making.

The Moon goes VOID at 4:26 p.m today until the following day when the Moon ingresses Sagittarius on Saturday evening at 11:14 p.m. EDT. Handle what is on your plate as you let things percolate - no need to rush decisions and agreements.

Wednesday, March 27th, 2013 - Full Moon Fever ~

Wednesday, March 27th: The Full Moon in Libra occurs at 5:28 a.m. EDT. Full Moon's are always about awareness as Luna opposes the Sun now transiting in Aries. The quintesential independence vs. dependence axis. What I want vs. what is required to participate in relationship in an authentic manner.

This Lunation has soo much energy attached to it as Mars is squaring Pluto from Aries to Capricorn. This reminds of the mythology of the Hydra - you cut off one of the monster's heads (it is a 3 headed monster) and two more grow back! That brute force or engaging in the "this is the way it is and has always been," may not be a useful approach.

The Sun is approaching a conjunct with both Venus and Uranus (exact on the 28th) suggesting that our values and awareness is seeking closer alignment with the new and progressive...aka different approaches, orientations and responses.

Meanwhile the mothering asteroid Ceres is in trine to the generational planet of abuse Nessus. So how can we awaken to our own control (abuse) dramas? How do we participate either passively or aggressively within partnership and conflict?

I personally have been in the front seat to this Uranus Pluto energy as my chart angles are at 6 and 7 degrees of the Cardinal Signs - and can see some old issues coming up right on cue :). At the same time I am slowing things down, connecting with my past imprints and consciously "choosing" my reactions to some of the unfolding events. Ceres suggests a nurturing energy with abuse patterns of the past. Awareness is part of this process and the way through...

The Moon then goes VOID at 2:16 p.m. EDT until Thursday evening at 8:55 p.m. when she ingresses Scorpio. Moon VOIDS suggest a time for letting things be, going with the flow, and handling what is on your plate.

On THURSDAY Venus moves into conjunction with the Sun - love, creativity, and conscious connection with what is important to us. And both then move onto conjunct the awakener Uranus. I feel there is much opportunity to move through the mire. To clear out once and for all some of the junk while we quickly dust ourselves off and say NEXT! Ask the Universe what you want now because you've cleared the space and opened up more space for flow and manifestation - congratulations! Mercury is in trine to Saturn today as well - stability in mind, thought and planning.

Photo: Monday, March 25th: We have a number of LONG Moon Voids this week as well as some challenging aspects coming in. By challenging I mean situations that may leave you confounded and feeling pulled back into what feels like old emotional terrain. But, perhaps we are being pulled back to do some more "clearing" on what we thought had been worked through. These are the times we are living in - deep lessons of awakening, clearing old patterns while sometimes awkwardly building anew.

The Moon is still transiting through analytical and discerning Virgo but goes VOID at 8:36 a.m. ALL DAY and ALL DAY on Tuesday until 5:33 p.m. EDT.

TUESDAY we experience the Mars sextile Jupiter early in the a.m. suggesting a time for educational, philosophical, publishing and confidence building activity. As the day progresses Mars moves into a square aspect with Pluto (exact at 11:43 p.m. EDT) but we tend to feel Mars transits early due to the planets energetic nature. Mars, the Sun and then Venus will all be connecting with Uranus and squaring up to Pluto highlighting the Uranus Pluto square that has been in operation for the past two years.

Mars in Aries wants what it wants and squaring Pluto we can see some unpleasant and survival energy at play. Again, be mindful of your own energies and pay attention to what you are feeling...how is it mired in old patterns and conditioning? Be aware that everyone else is undergoing this agitating energy and surround yourself with a detached compassion cloak whenever possible.

We are on the precipice of the Full Moon in Libra on Wednesday that pulls us "emotionally" into the process - waking up/turning on the light to any old emotional drama patterns while holding yourself in as much compassion and self-support as possible. ~Blowhole photo by Linda Karin Hicks

Week Beginning Friday, March 15th

Comet PanSTARRS

ARIES:  The Sun joins Mars in your sign on the 20th heralding a time for awakening to your new solar year and being your own personal champion.  You have both the henchman (Mars) and the awareness (Sun) to pursue your personal goals and desires.  Venus will join the gathering on the 21st adding her personal charm and powers of attraction.  Mercury turns direct in your 12th house on the 17th at 5 degrees of Pisces.  The 16th, 17th and 18th are days to bid your time while the planet of communication adjusts to his forward movement.  Saturn trines Chiron this week bringing a level of dignity and personal awareness to your spiritual and financial dealings.

TAURUS:  Venus and the Sun reach out to Psyche, the asteroid representing psychology and the study of the mind from your 11th house of social contacts to your 7th house of partnership.  Insights and intuition surround your world of others this week suggesting a level of personal insight that seeks to integrate aspects of self with the world around you.  Both the Sun and Venus then ingress your 12th house of spiritual awakening and connection helping you to go deeper into the mystery of being a spiritual being while engaging with this earth plane dimension.  Mercury turns direct on the 17th beginning the process of planning and communications in your personal desires and goals.

GEMINI:  As Mercury rolls to a full stop on the 17th in the area of life mission and public reputation you are encouraged to let things percolate in regard to career and public image.  The Sun and Venus ingress your 11th house of goals and dreams (joining Mars) in the entrepreneurial sign of Aries.  You are entering a powerful time to make a dream or two a reality.  Friends and associates are a key ingredient and Saturn’s trine to Chiron ensures a level of dignity and practicality to the daily work schedule and your need to be of service.  Ceres sextiles Pallas this week bridging your nurturing ability to apply creative wisdom and support to friends, groups, associates and team building activities.

CANCER:  Two beautiful trines occur this week between first the Sun, and then Venus to the asteroid Psyche currently transiting your 5th house of true love, risk taking and authentic self-expression.  Insights can be experienced deepening your understanding of your soul, mind, love and self.  As Mercury moves into a dead stop on the 17th a poignant opportunity is available to bear witness to some personal understandings surrounding love and spirit.  The Sun and then Venus ingress your 10th house (joining Mars) of reputation, authority figures and ambition.  Plenty of planetary tools are available to you in furthering your career and life goals – assertion, understanding and charm.  Saturn moves into a supportive aspect with Chiron adding fortitude laced with a humble understanding regarding media, travel, publishing and educational activities.

LEO:  You are finishing a level of transition, ending and the release of a personal dynamic, belief or situation that no longer serves you.  The Sun and Venus are trining the asteroid Psyche in your 4th house of home, soul and personal security ensuring a level of conscious awareness and acceptance.  As the Sun then enters fellow fire sign Aries in your 9th house of faith and beliefs you are now freer to set a new course with a level of confidence and fortitude that ensures success.  Mercury shifts into direct motion this week slowly gaining ground empowering you to implement the planning and conversations that have taken shape over the past few weeks.

VIRGO:  Mercury comes to a station this week in your 7th house of relating patterns, partnerships and the public signaling the beginning of a process that includes clearer understandings, agreements and disclosures that are paramount to your learning and growth.  With both the Sun and Venus trining the asteroid Psyche from your 7th house to your 3rd house of communications and agreements, a soulful awareness flows into your discourse with others.  The Sun and Venus then exit your 7th house and head to the deeper waters of the 8th house the area of transformation and integration with all that you have experienced over the past few weeks.  Intimacy deepens, financial dealings are supported and levels of trust are restored.

LIBRA:  The current focus on health, daily structures, and work routines begin to shift as Mercury stations on the 17th and begins to slowly move forward in your 6th house of Pisces.  Awareness, effective planning and supportive “form” begins its implementation stage as you are able to see the larger view regarding your personal, spiritual, physical and structural needs.  First the Sun and then Venus move into a trine aspect with the asteroid of soul, Psyche, currently transiting your 2nd house of self-worth and abundance.  Trust the process while engaging with your internal visualization of the highest and best daily experiences possible.  The Sun and Venus then shift into your 7th house of partnership and the public shifting your energy to your partnerships and important others.  Saturn moves into trine with Chiron cementing the former process while building revenue streams and strengthening self-beliefs.

SCORPIO:  Both the Sun and Venus are making a trine from your 5th house of love, authentic self-expression, children and creativity to the asteroid Psyche, currently transiting your 1st house of identity and personal evolvement.  Insights take shape as the asteroid of the Soul connects with conscious awareness illuminating what you value in love.  Mercury is also stationing direct this week and slowly moving forward giving shape and planning to matters of the heart and all things joyful.  Saturn in your sign reaches out again to Chiron building upon what the Sun, Venus and Psyche brought to bear laying down a framework for your evolving identity and compassionate expression of your heart. The Sun and Venus then shift into your 6th house (with Mars) where your focus shifts to the daily schedule, health and routine tasks.

SAGITTARIUS:  Mercury turns direct this week in the area of soul, personal security, home, where you live and how you live.  Much has been experienced and now your conscious mind, the force behind your planning and agreements, is gaining clarity in what you want and how to execute.  The Sun and Venus shift into fellow fire sign Aries (along with Mars) pulling your inward focus into an outward drive to experience and express more.  You are encouraged to explore and experience more of life’s pleasures while opening your heart to inherent possibilities regarding love, creative endeavors and the wellbeing of your offspring.  Saturn once again connects with Chiron bridging a supportive reality between spiritual awareness/activities and personal life.

CAPRICORN:  There is a continued emphasis on your goals, dreams and expanding your connection through groups and friendships.  This theme continues as first the Sun and then Venus connect with the asteroid Psyche currently transiting your 11th house.  Psyche represents the Soul, psychology and the study of the mind and as this connection embraces these planets a bridging of your thoughts and communication style merges with the group collective to inspire and uplift.  The Sun and Venus then ingress your 4th house of authentic self and soul supporting your self-identity and personal security.  Saturn once again reaches out to Chiron furthering the imprint of compassionate communication in the spirit of serving mankind.

AQUARIUS:  Your values have been a huge focus with the planetary gathering in Pisces, your 2nd house.  Much of who we are can be defined by what we value.  Now, as Mercury prepares for his direct station on the 17th you can begin to inch forward with applying your skills, talents and values towards earnings and acquisition.  The Sun and Venus are a catalyst for this process as they both trine Psyche, the asteroid of Soul, psychology and the mind which is currently transiting your 10th house of life direction and career.  Intuition may be part of this engagement as you are encouraged to create a work life that more closely mirrors what is important to you.  Saturn once again makes a building aspect to Chiron laying down sustainable foundations regarding your passions and avocation – trust that you “can” connect with abundance in all forms.

PISCES:  Before the Sun and Venus shift out of your sign and ingress into Aries they are leaving you with an undeniable “vision” as they both connect with the asteroid of soul, psychology and self - Psyche where she is currently transiting your 9th house of the higher mind, soul and belief systems.  Believe it to be true and it becomes so.  Fake it till you make it.  Understand that daydreams are previews to coming attractions in your life.  Saturn follows up after this connection to once again reach out to Chiron in your sign suggesting that compassion for self is your way through to manifesting your future.  Life is a healing journey for anyone who is awake.  Mercury starts inching forward on the 17th clearing the way forward for personal planning and important external communications.

Week Beginning March 8th, 2013

(Inherent talents/abilities and areas of growth)

Mercury is still retrograde until the 17th, so please try to enjoy the extra space in your life.  I have learned to enjoy these slow downs and to allow more time for reflection and just being.  We have a great deal of energy moving through Pisces, the sign of inspiration, dreams, and intuition.  See this slower time as a balancing effect of information overload and the need to constantly respond to texts, email, phone calls, and social networking.  I’ve worked with many managers and business owners who value creating time away from the office and the need for constant communication. They know that problem solving, planning, and setting intentions for what they wish to create in their lives can only be done within a quiet atmosphere.

ARIES:  The New Moon in Pisces occurs in your twelfth house of spirit, inherent creativity, the past, and all things contemplative. Synchronicity is emphasized as well.  Appreciation can be experienced in privacy, dreaming, resting, and the space of just being.  On the 11th, the day of the New Moon, your ruler Mars reaches out to Juno, the asteroid representing marriage, contracts, and making something practical out of your ideals.  Mars ingresses your first house of identity, will, desire, and physical energy the following day (where it remains until April 20th) and fuels your will and actions. Awareness of your motivations and intentions is important now.

TAURUS:  Your personal dreams (what you really want) are fueled by the congruence of energy moving through your eleventh house of Pisces.  Dream a little dream (without the need for action at the moment) and tend to your visions internally.  The New Moon in Pisces on the 11th trines the North Node of growth and future developments – acting “as if” and “faking it till you make it” are realistic approaches now.  Mars adds fuel to your internal focus as he ingresses your twelfth house (the natural ruler of Pisces) until April 20th.  Research, working behind the scenes, meditation, and setting intentions by focusing on your thoughts and emotions will fuel your personal aspirations.  This is a time of gestation—the time for new birth appears in April.

GEMINI:  Saturn trines Pluto at the beginning of this forecast period and encourages a flow between your daily work schedule and health to the areas of loans, insurance, and support from others.  A slowdown is occurring with Saturn’s retrograde period (lasting until July), suggesting the opportunity to make your tasks and to-do lists more functional.  The New Moon occurs in the packed sign of Pisces, your tenth house of reputation and life mission, on the 11th at 21 degrees.  This lunation reaches out to your sixth house (where Saturn is transiting) and contacts the growth-oriented North Node.  Mercury is still in retrograde but fresh ideas and opportunities are gestating in the area of your career. Plans still need time to take root, so wait until after the 17th to take action if possible.  Mars ingresses your eleventh house of hopes, dreams, and the group mind.  You need plenty of autonomy and freedom while the planet of assertion transits this area until April 20th.

CANCER:  Pisces is a fellow water sign that blends well with your energy and the areas of spiritual connection, legal situations, higher education, long-distance travel, media, publishing, celebrations, and marketing.  I mention this because we have a rare planetary focus in these areas of your life.  The New Moon on the 11th also falls in Pisces, signaling fresh developments in your ninth house of communications and getting your message out to a wider audience.  Plan promotional campaigns now but don’t act until after Mercury turns direct on the 17th.  A Saturn Pluto sextile bridges your fifth house of love and children with your seventh house of partnership, suggesting stability and flow with the important others in your world.

LEO:  The Sun trines the North Node on the 9th from your eighth house of transformation and shared resources to your fourth house of security and home.  You have more awareness regarding developments in real estate, finance, family, and your sense of wellbeing.  The New Moon in the eighth house of Pisces on the 11th brings developments regarding intimacy, trust, and the long-term financial picture. Mercury is retrograde in the eighth house and you are undergoing a level of deepening awareness regarding your intimate needs.  The time to act and outwardly plan comes after the 17th.  For the remainder of the year Juno, the asteroid representing compatibility with others, ingresses your seventh house of important others.  Expect ongoing clarity about your needs within relationships.

VIRGO:  This rare planetary party occurring in your seventh house of others, clients, and partnership receives a burst of energy at the New Moon in Pisces on the 11th in your seventh house.  Fresh energy and focus will unfold this month. Your mandate is to continue to focus on the health and dynamics of your relationships.  Mercury continues his retrograde until the 17th in this area of relating and creates the space to ponder how your partnerships can be more nourishing and satisfying.  Mars moves out of this area and moves into the deep-feeling eighth house, where it will remain until April 20th.  The eighth house encourages endings in order to begin anew, a process often required for the next step in your personal journey. Be mindful of your resources and avoid running up unnecessary debt.  Mars in the eighth house can also indicate increased sexual drive and desire.

LIBRA:  The density of energy filling your sixth house is delivering a gift of arranging your daily flow in a manner that works more efficiently and comfortably for you.  Venus is ensuring a smoother passage as Mercury continues his retrograde, allowing for plenty of re-do’s on the to-do’s!  You have been a busy bee but Mercury’s slowdown allows you to catch up and catch your breath.  The New Moon on the 11th in this very sixth house of health, the care of pets, and the daily schedule supports fresh developments and solutions.  Mars shifts out of the hustle bustle and ingresses your seventh house of others.  A partner’s needs and opinions must be incorporated into the decision process through April 20th.  Juno, the asteroid representing what we need to feel satisfied in love and romance, ingresses your fifth house of true love for the remainder of the year.

SCORPIO:  Saturn, now retrograde in your first house until July, offers support through self-expression, communications, education, and information flow as he moves into sextile with Pluto this week.  Take your time with these projects while Mercury retrogrades in the areas ruling creative self-expression, children, and love.  A rare concentration of energy in your fifth house encourages you to connect with your inner child, take a risk or two, and trust your creative urges. The time for outward action comes after April 6th.  The New Moon in your fifth house on the 11th trines the North Node and promises growth and personal satisfaction.  Co-ruler Mars shifts into your sixth house of work and tasks on the 12th until April 20th. Handle the details.

SAGITTARIUS:  Your personal life is ablaze in your fourth house of Pisces. With Mercury retrograding until the 17th the chance for re-do’s and revisions is strongly encouraged.  Family, parents, home life, where you live, how you live, and your sense of personal security are due for fresh inspiration at the New Moon on the 11th at 21 degrees of Pisces.  This New Moon makes a supportive trine to the North Node in your twelfth house of the past, research, rest, and recuperation.  Saturn is sextile to Pluto this week and supports personal creativity in your talents, abilities, and the way you earn your living.  Mars enters fellow fire sign Aries on the 12th as he ingresses your fifth house of love, risk, competition, and creativity until April 20th.

CAPRICORN:  Your personal goals, identity, and desires blend well with the areas of group mind, technology, and personal dreams (what you really want) as your ruler Saturn, the manifester of the physical, makes a sextile to Pluto, the powerful transformer.  Your third house of mind is host to a rare gathering of planetary energy, suggesting more access to learning and deeper levels of thought and communication.  The New Moon on the 11th in Pisces (your third house) encourages fresh activity in your local environment and your day-to-day connections.  But Mercury is still retrograde in this very area and will not be ready to move on these fresh influences until after April 6th.  Now is the time for gestation, but planning and action are given the green light in April.  Mars energizes your home environment and personal life as he ingresses your fourth house of home, family, parents, domestic work, and housing.

AQUARIUS:  Your second house of Pisces is highly activated and puts your focus on earnings and self-worth that converts into feeling like a valuable player in the market economy   The New Moon on the 11th is at 21 degrees of Pisces (your second house), signaling developments in the honing of your talents. It sends a positive signal to the North Node in your tenth house of life mission and career. Mercury is still retrograde in this very area of value and worth, but will turn direct on the 17th. Further ease and flow will appear after the first week of April.  Meanwhile, tend to your ideas and skills while honoring the ability to be patient.  However if a former opportunity appears, please do explore the potential.  Juno, the asteroid representing making something practical out of your ideals, ingresses your sign this week and will be with you for the rest of the year.  She also helps you get clear on what you need from committed relationships in order to feel valued and loved.

PISCES:  The buildup of planetary energy continues to sweep through your sign.  Evolving awareness is the resulting gift. You are supported in taking your time and allowing this sensation to flow and validate your dreams and desires.  Your personal New Moon occurs on the 11th at 21 degrees of Pisces while making a supportive trine aspect to the North Node of growth and development in fellow water sign Scorpio (your ninth house).  The higher mind is activated and encourages connections with your spiritual and religious beliefs while integrating your personal sense of identity.  With Mercury still in retrograde in your sign until the 17th remember that any pressure you feel is just a feeling. In reality you have plenty of time and no pressure.  As we head into April your sense of direction becomes even clearer.
