A Letter From Japan

The below letter was forwarded to me from my childhood and dear friend Anne Meda-White

A Letter from Japan: The below letter describes the current day-to-day existence, in Sendai, Japan, by a survivor of the earthquake and tsunami. It also beautifully demonstrates the resilience of the human spirit. This letter was sent by a fellow meditator, with permission to share.

They tell us we can expect aftershocks, and even other major quakes, for another month or more. And we are getting constant tremors, rolls, shaking, rumbling. I am blessed in that I live in a part of Sendai that is a bit elevated, a bit more solid than other parts. So, so far this area is better off than others. Last night my friend's husband came in from the country, bringing food and water. Blessed again. And the Japanese themselves are so wonderful. I come back to my shack to check on it each day, now to send this e-mail since the electricity is on, and I find food and water left in my entrance way. I have no idea from whom, but it is there. Old men in green hats go from door to door checking to see if everyone is OK. People talk to complete strangers asking if they need help. I see no signs of fear. Resignation, yes, but fear or panic, no.

There are strange parallel universes happening. Houses a mess in some places, yet then a house with futons or laundry out drying in the sun. People lining up for water and food, and yet a few people out walking their dogs. All happening at the same time. Other unexpected touches of beauty are first, the silence at night. No cars. No one out on the streets. And the heavens at night are scattered with stars. I usually can see about two stars, but now the whole sky is filled. The mountains of Sendai are solid and with the crisp air we can see them silhouetted against the sky magnificently.

No one has washed for several days. We feel grubby, but there are so much more important concerns than that for us now. I love this peeling away of non-essentials. Living fully on the level of instinct, of intuition, of caring, of what is needed for survival, not just of me, but of the entire group. We got water for a few hours in our homes last night, and now it is for half a day. Electricity came on this afternoon. Gas has not yet come on. But all of this is by area. Some people have these things, others do not.

Quakes keep coming. Last night they struck about every 15 minutes. Sirens are constant and helicopters pass overhead often. Utterly amazingly where I am there has been no looting, no pushing in lines. People leave their front door open, as it is safer when an earthquake strikes. People keep saying, "Oh, this is how it used to be in the old days when everyone helped one another." During the day we help each other clean up the mess in our homes. People sit in their cars, looking at news on their navigation screens, or line up to get drinking water when a source is open. If someone has water running in their home, they put out sign so people can come to fill up their jugs and buckets.

Things here in Sendai have been rather surreal. But I am very blessed to have wonderful friends who are helping me a lot. Since my shack is even more worthy of that name, I am now staying at a friend's home. We share supplies like water, food and a kerosene heater. We sleep lined up in one room, eat by candlelight, share stories. It is warm, friendly, and beautiful. First I want to thank you so very much for your concern for me. I am very touched. I also wish to apologize for a generic message to you all. But it seems the best way at the moment to get my message to you. Hello My Lovely Family and Friends,

Somehow at this time I realize from direct experience that there is indeed an enormous Cosmic evolutionary step that is occurring all over the world right at this moment. And somehow as I experience the events happening now in Japan, I can feel my heart opening very wide. My brother asked me if I felt so small because of all that is happening. I don't. Rather, I feel as part of something happening that much larger than myself. This wave of birthing (worldwide) is hard, and yet magnificent.

Week Starting April 1st

Action is the watchword this week when the Moon grows New in Aries on the 3rd and Mars conjuncts revolutionary Uranus on the same day.  Mars joined the sign of Aries on the 1st adding to the very concentrated energetic pile up in the sign of leadership and initiation.   We also have a Jupiter (Aries) opposition to Saturn (Libra) which translates into measured action, growth and enthusiasm.  We have to be "accountable" for the changes we seek and to move forward in a responsible manner.

Our planning and communications have now been slowed with the retrograde of Mercury (also in Aries) on March 30th - April 23rd.  So with a FIERY energy engulfing the collective and some very strong gatekeepers advising to slow it down and think things through...we have an interesting landscape to navigate this week.  Patience.

Venus lends her soft and compassionate influence to the mix implying that "love is the ultimate goal" with her move into Pisces.  Pluto turns retrograde on the 8th suggesting higher levels of action on the world stage.

ARIES:  I hardly know what to write Ram as you are playing host to a very rare planetary line-up that requires you to act (Mars), experience inner and outer growth (Jupiter), communicate (Mercury), revolutionize your life (Uranus), express yourself (Sun), to be mindful of partnership considerations (Saturn in your opposite sign) and to be patient (Mercury retrograde) during the process. Venus softens your inner landscape as Pluto lightens in intensity when he retrogrades in your 10th house of career.

TAURUS:  Venus slips into your friendship and goal sector warming up your associations and future planning.  You are very supported in the area of your life symbolizing down time, inner connectedness and spiritual quests!  Your health may need extra loving attention and your due diligence regarding any niggling heath or work troubles that affect your energy levels.  Sleep and rest are your friends.

GEMINI:   Your ambassador planet Mercury is now retrograde in an are of your life symbolizing friendships, goals you hold for yourself and how you are able to define yourself through groups and professional associations.  This area is chock full of activity!  You are meant to grow more and express yourself in a truly authentic fashion with and through your associations.  Children, love commitments and creative ventures are applying a steadying and responsible pressure.  Venus slips into your career house making you the fairest in the land.

CANCER:   Home life, parents, children and inner emotional well being have all been under Saturn's domain of learning, restriction and responsibility.  Your career life, on the other hand is on fire with growth, meetings, opportunity and accolades.  A balancing act between the two is bringing you to deeper levels of understanding and acceptance.  Pluto takes a "breather" for the next 5 months in the area of "others."  Intensity begins to subsides after mid-month.

LEO:  You need more from life, your involvement with it and hence your need for an expanded reality!  Uranus and Jupiter, rulers of over your love and partnership areas may bring you to your one and only from afar but, take your time as Mercury retrogrades in this very area and you may not be receiving a clear message from others now.  A good time to review marketing and publishing activities.  Venus slips into the area of shared assets and intimate leanings blessing you with good will as well as deeds from others.

VIRGO:  $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is on your mind and is an active area.  Mercury, your ruler is asking you to take your time signing on the dotted line especially around the areas of employment, income and financial deals -  you WILL benefit by taking it slow and spending time in due diligence.  Venus slips into your partnership house highlighting a very pleasant month with the others in your world.  Intensity surrounding your children (power struggles?), labors of love and creativity subsides when Pluto turns retrograde this month, you get to handle what is already on your plate without the pressure of additional learning curves.

LIBRA:  Are you feeling like the stodgy stick-in-the-mud while the others in your life are whooping it up and wanting more playful action from you?  This is also a good time for forming both business and personal partnerships that began before the Mercury Retrograde period. Please DO NOT form any brand new alliances this month...save yourself the headache.  Venus takes up where Mars left off making your work schedule and employee dealings much more pleasant.  Home and family affairs become less harsh and intense when Pluto retrogrades on the 8th.

SCORPIO:  Again, work and health, work and health.  The ante is raised yet another notch as the Sun and Mars join in the party currently underway in the area affecting your day to day schedule, work assignments, colleagues and physical health.  You have a lot to do, I know, but Mercury's assignment is to slow things down a tad in order for you to re-think these very areas.  Expect some bumps under this retrograde time period as deadlines and office equipment will not be very supportive to your efforts.  And, unless you secretly possess some of Super Man/Woman's strength you DO need more rest!

SAGITTARIUS: Are you feeling that your friendships and group associations are limiting the brilliant labors of love that you currently feel impassioned to share?   Some may feel like the proverbial wet blanket right now but headway can be made in committing to some of these very groups.  This is not a month to push the river as the Universe has other plans.  Take your time with love interests and creative projects as you do not have all the facts and are in a processing stage (same goes with your children).

CAPRICORN:  Pluto eases up on the pedal and allows a few months to actually "digest" and process all that has transpired in your recent past.  Your inner world, family life and home activities are absolutely supercharged this month!  Take your time with long-term planning while Mercury retrogrades and do not begin new relocation or home renovation projects this month.  Career responsibilities continue to ask you to toe the line.

AQUARIUS:  With all of the planetary activity taking place in your communication, writing, neighborhood and sibling zone, you are well advised to take your time with any new contracts and commitments that may arise this month.  Your neighbors and siblings may be monopolizing much of your time and some misunderstandings and communication glitches can be expected.  So, although your mind is "super charged" this month please ground yourself accordingly during this Mercury retrograde period.  Travel may be a bit irksome this week too.  Venus brings more money to you through earned income and artistic projects (women clients may dominate).

PISCES:  Life and love is a many splendid thing when Venus graces your sign this month. You are extra attractive to others and people are just "nicer" when this attraction planet is in operation.  The bugga-boo is the area of income and shared finances with others....money that you planned on from partners or in your workplace may not be available this week.  With Mercury's retro in the area of earned income and things which you "value" there may be a slowing down or misunderstanding in these areas.  Pluto slows the pace within some of your friendships and associations when he retrogrades on the 8th.

When energy builds around fault lines and then seeks release due to immense pressure, earthquakes are the result.  The horrendous quake and resulting tsunami in Japan is a devastating example of what happens when energy builds to a level that can no longer be contained and a metaphor in the extreme (the quake happened just hours before Uranus entry into Aries) when situations are no longer sustainable.

The cool composure and civility of the Japanese during a time of unimaginable disaster certainly sets an exemplary model of how a society can react under extreme stress.  No looting, nor gunfire has been reported to date.

On the 19th we will see the largest Full Moon (in Virgo exact at 2:10 p.m. EST) since 1992 when the moon approaches Earth at a distance of 221,567 miles in its elliptical orbit.  The full moon could appear up to 14% bigger and 30% brighter in the sky.  Virgo calls for healing, health and responsibility surrounding the welfare of self and others.  To be of "service" to others on this planet is an important orientation as we are all ultimately responsible for one another.  The need is to make decisions based on the good of the whole.

The Spring Equinox occurs on the 20th with the Sun's movement into the already action packed sign of Aries.  We have a very high concentration of energy jam packed into the early Aries part of the chart - this energy buildup is being experienced by everyone in a very specific area of your life. Mercury begins to slow down prior to its retrograde on the 30th.  Wrap up contracts, deals and important purchases this week.

ARIES:   It's all about you Ram, life is as it should be eh?  Some situations may be falling by the wayside but only in order to let the new and more authentically aligned enter.  You have two weeks to motor ahead before Mercury retrogrades in your sign on the 30th.  Faces from the past may start reappearing and this gives you precious time to re-think the changes are you implementing and to get them onto sturdier ground.  The Full Moon highlights work and health.

TAURUS:  Chiron's move into your 11th house asks for healing within groups.  Your goals may shift during this transit beckoning you towards areas of spiritual healing.  Much action is taking place behind the scenes but you aware of discernible awakenings within your psyche and internal landscapes.  The Full Moon brings some sort of closure surrounding friendships.

GEMINI:  Your house of friendships are supercharged now with the arrival of the Sun on the 20th.  Perhaps you are also pondering an alignment with a professional group or at the very least of like minded individuals.  Forward thinking and progressive folks are showing up to awaken new aspects within yourself.  Get important business done this week before your ruling planet starts the sideways tango on the 30th.  Career and community are highlighted at the Full Moon.

CANCER:  Just when you thought you career couldn't "possibly" get more busy along comes the Sun to heighten the activity level...whew!  We have a "super" Full Moon on the 19th in the area of your life ruling communication and "busy" work correspondence.  Mercury retro's at the end of the month so expect "some" slow downs.

LEO:  The Sun is shifting into a fellow air sign relieving you of the need for secrecy and emotional tugs of the heart.  You are feeling so ready for new experiences and possibilities.  The Sun conjuncts Uranus on the 21st where some breakthroughs and surprising opportunities can materialize regarding travel opportunities and people at a distance.  The Full Moon highlights financial earnings.

VIRGO:  You are the recipient of the super Full Moon on the 19th in your very own sign.  Indications are that something of importance should transpire for you on the days on and around the 19th.  Mercury's move into Aries propels you to speak your mind as honestly and straightforwardly as possible.  Business deals and financial situations are important now too.  Get your important tasks handled before the retro on the 30th.

LIBRA:  It's all about the others in your life now Libra.  Partnerships and the opinion of others is important now for you to move forward, you need the support and two heads are mucho better than one.  Work and responsibilities continue to hold your shoulder to the wheel but DO make time for some lighthearted playful fun as your ruler Venus frolics through your 5th house.  The Full Moon brings health issues, spirituality and behind the scenes dealing to the fore.

SCORPIO:  Work activity ramps up with the Sun's arrival into Aries.  Your focus is now thorough and complete.  Please be sure to take in adequate food, rest and exercise breaks as your work quality is dependent upon your physical health.  It's easy to "forget" that gee, I haven't eaten all day or gosh, I guess I DO need a little more sleep. You do need to push for some project completions before the Mercury retro period at the end of the month. The Full Moon highlights groups and friendships.

SAGITTARIUS:  A veritable traffic jam is occurring in your fellow fire sign Aries which is your 5th house of creative expression, playfulness and children with the Sun's arrival this week.  It's a good time for a good time, inspirational guidance surrounding projects of love and being "more" of who you are.  The supercharged Full Moon falls in the areas affecting your career, reputation and community, expect some visibility around this day.

CAPRICORN:  Home, family, where you live, your parents and emotional well-being is a HUGE focus right now!  A  time to implement changes and to provide much needed attention to your internal life.  It's time to really shore things up in these areas - you have the energy, ingenuity and support from others to create a comfortable base.  If a move is in your imminent future get the details tied up before the end of the month when Mercury retro's.  Travel, marketing, teaching and your "world" view is highlighted at the Full Moon.

AQUARIUS:  The Sun's shift into Aries is highlighting further the busy work on your plate.  Writing, teaching, email, phone calls, contracts, communication equipment and the day to day workings of your mind are all amped up!  Please get important documents, contracts and purchases handled before the end of the month when buying/selling big ticket items is definitely NOT advised.  Loans, debts, financial arrangements and personal resources held with another are all spotlighted under the Full Moon.

PISCES:  The planetary pile-up is slowly departing your sign and the Sun joins the party in Aries highlighting earned income, "what" and "who" you value as well as the health levels of your self-esteem.  Expect you value quotient to be turned up quite a notch.  The action is focusing on your awareness of the value that you hold for others and if your internal environment matches the outward appreciation.  Does it?  The focus is on your partners at the Full Moon as they need your attention now.

A palpable shift is reverberating with the entrance of Uranus into Aries on Friday.  Mercury, the messenger scout preceded Uranus to bring to us messages and insights of what the future holds.  A strong life force is at work here as well as divine inspirations, and swift breaks from the old to prepare for fresh developments that are beginning to unfold. Think back to June of 2010 and what was awakened at that time - it's back, but more powerfully.

Mercury moved into Aries this week and will spend an exceptionally long time (mid-May) in the fire sign due to it's retrograde motion on March 30th.  Aries born have the power of intellect and heightened communication activity at their fingertips through much of the spring.  Again, it is best to sign contracts, purchase high ticket items and begin new initiatives PRIOR to Mercury's retrograde.  When this planet moves backwards it sends buying, selling and communications into a sidewards spin.

We still have NEW Moon energy at our back while building to a FULL Moon exact on the 19th in Virgo.

ARIES:  New developments are unfolding at the very personal levels of your being.  Your life direction is due for a change as is your need for more freedom, innovation and opportunities. A new business venture may be on tap. The planet of thinking and planning is working with you throughout the spring giving you time to get your plans and objectives on firm intellectual ground.  The need to verbalize and communicate is strong now.  Your mind and body still need rest and rejuvenating sleep, looks for ways to solve any sleep problems you may be experiencing....the central nervous system can become more active during Uranus transits.

TAURUS:  Sleeping patterns may become disrupted for you too (read Aries) during the Uranus transit.  Jupiter is also in your 12th house expanding your dream life and faith.  Uranus is bringing a heightened intuition as well as eureka moments in understanding regarding your soul's journey and life path.  Your friends continue to be front and center energetically.  Venus is now positioned in the area affecting career and community reputation - a pleasant useful time to network and raise your profile as others receive you warmly.

GEMINI:  Friends may be abruptly departing the scene while new alliances seemingly appear out of nowhere.  But, to go further, Uranus is expanding your sense of "possibilities" of what you want to create in your NOW and hence, your future.  Earnings may take on a more erratic and feast or famine feel.  Venus graces all travel, marketing and publishing activities this month.  Your ruling planet Mercury will be slowing down the third week so please wrap up contracts, expensive purchases and important communications before the last week in March.

CANCER:  Your visibility has expanded in a very positive way with Jupiter's presence in your area of career, authority figures and the public.  Uranus is now ensconced in the very same areas setting out to revolutionize your career!  Abrupt departures or quickly changing circumstances (old bosses leaving and new bosses coming in) may be part and parcel in your work life over the next 7 years.  This is the area that you seek increased freedom in which to express yourself in your very own unique and authentic way.  Venus is ensuring that others are sharing some of their wealth with you this month - emotionally, financially and perhaps even sexually.

LEO:  The call to and for adventure is no longer whispering in your ear but, rather, is shouting and nudging you.  If you are thinking of taking an exotic trip to never before visited places please know that NOW is the time!  You feel the need for adventure and new experiences that broaden your outlook and joy quotient.  The others in your life pepper your days this month in pleasant ways.  Get your travel plans taken care of before Mercury turns retrograde at the end of the month.

VIRGO:  Shared finances, loans, debts, commissions, inheritances and intimacy are all areas for revolutionary change and awakening Virgo.  Don't expect things to carry on as before.  Your partner's income may change, your commission structure may abruptly be revised or money comes to you or is no longer available in quick succession.  I'm just suggesting that being conservative about your assets and your partner's (or company's assets) may be wise during this 7 year transit of Uranus.  From now to June you DO have the green light for advances in all of the above.  Your partnership house is still ablaze this month.  Your ruling planet goes into retrograde the last week of March.  Get commerce, contracts and important purchases wrapped up by the 3rd week.

LIBRA:  If you are feeling that your partnerships are feeling staid and hum drum, don't worry, Uranus is riding in to the rescue.  Jupiter has already been lending a hand in increasing your well-being as well as "opportunity" for partnership but Uranus wants to go even further and revolutionize the "way" you do partnership.  Expect innovative eccentrics and geniuses to populate your world but with the caution to be extra flexible now.  People may pop out as quickly as they pop in initially....test of time.  You are being asked to give the important others plenty of room for the next 7 years.  A productive time to work with agents, consultants, the public and to become well known.  Venus presents flirtations and opportunities this month.  Work is still high on your priority list throughout the month.

SCORPIO:  Divine inspiration, unusual working hours, independent initiatives and the mastery over technological tools are your needs during the Uranus transit to your 6th house.  How you work and your day to day schedule will tend towards the erratic rather than the conventional.  Take care of yourself too, any health issues that arise may be connected to lack of sleep, central nervous system issues and stress.  A time to heighten your physical self-care and institute an exercise regime.  Childrens activities, creative projects and affairs of the heart continue to dominate your schedule this month.

SAGITTARIUS:  Getting more confident is what Jupiter and Uranus in your 5th house of self-expression is about.  Confident about your creativity, confident about who and what you love, confident about your childrens life path and confident about the unique quality inside all of us that silences the very essence of our creative core when we are not living our inner truths.  Home, emotional security and healing childhood wounding is still a strong focus throughout the month    Venus graces your communications sector during March so do promote yourself and your ideas.

CAPRICORN:  Home has been your haven since January and hopefully some old emotional wounding has been healing.  Uranus is now intent upon shaking up the very foundations of your life in order to liberate you from the old and outworn.  Along with the figurative movement that is now needed to keep your life alive and exciting, you can safely expect a literal move within the next 7 years too.  Changing dynamics within family life can be upsetting and surprising but you will sense the silver lining within the perceived cloud.  You have a lot to write, communicate, and to get done this month, so please practice stress relief before illness takes over to give you that much needed "time-out."  Earnings are favored all month too.

AQUARIUS:  Whatever your favored mode of communication the time is ripe to broaden your horizons.  Writing, teaching, classes, reading and publishing are all very much supported activities (especially through June) throughout the 7 year Uranus transit.  Your thinking becomes more and more innovative and liberating.  Share it with like-minded others who both need and will feed your inspired wisdom.  Get contracts signed before the last week of the month as you are heading into a highly entrepreneurial time.

PISCES:  Chiron the planet of wounding and healing is now in your sign for the long haul.  The care of your physical body, psyche, mind and emotions, need and require your nurturing attention, be gentle with yourself during this process.  Mars is in your sign through April signaling a time of heightened activity as well as assertiveness.  Uranus is now electrifying you concept of yourself and your value, and is intent upon liberating both the areas of your life governing self-esteem and earned income.  Expect how you think of yourself, what you do and how you do it to change and grow over the next 7 years.

What the Heck Does an Astrologer Do? (bio)

What the Heck Does an Astrologer Do?

by OBX ASTROLOGY on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 4:19pm

Well, it depends on the astrologer as we are as varied and different in our approaches as any profession can be. Each practitioner brings to the table their belief systems and personal "lens" comprised of life experiences.

I picked up my first astrology book as a kid and became quickly engrossed in the symbolism, geometric relationships and interpretive skill (the hardest of all).  But, it wasn't until I took an astrology class at the American School of the Hague in Den Haag, Holland that I really got hooked.  As one of a class of 15 or so, we were given a written test to decipher levels of knowledge and I was awarded the most intuitive and knowledgeable (the prize was the required reading material, a book I still possess).  Maggie Van Krimpton (married to a Dutchman) originally from New Zealand was our instructor.  She became a personal friend and we kept in touch for many years and continents later.

Upon returning to the states in the mid-90's I began tentatively practicing and drawing up charts for friends and family (before the advent of software programs, one had to consult the ephemeris and draw them up by hand).  Now, mind you, I considered myself a strong left brainer...deft with analysis, details and processes, and astrology drew out an aspect of myself that up until that time had been left largely unidentified - intuition.  Yes, that word that is both ubiquitous and oh so hard to define.

I kept this passion of mine under wraps as I entered the "Corporate World," and landed in the high-tech world working for the Director of Advanced Networking at MCNC in the Research Triangle Park.  How did I end up there?  Quite frankly my professional background is both varied and as one colleague called it ,restless, as one can be.  I then was the 2nd employee hired from that department when it was spun out into a for-profit company that developed and sold  high-speed encryption software and hardware.  I spent two years being the only female in first a department, and then a company of fellas (on a particularly stressful day Dan Winkelstein, the brains behind the hardware took me flying over Raleigh in his single engine airplane...I miss that and him).  This was the late 90's when women were still gender bending with the intent of breaking that so oft mentioned "glass ceiling."  The CEO's changed seasonally and the most remembered was a venture capitalist, former CIA informer (as rumor had it) and while reporting to him found myself in charge of  managing a virtual office of HR, Accounting and Marketing - can you say 80 hour work weeks?

From there, due to sheer exhaustion and other broo ha ha's,  I moved into the world of hi-tech headhunting where I was financially very secure and emotionally quite bereft.  But, I attribute those days as the beginning of my coaching career. I was one of two permanent placement professionals in charge of placing high level techno geeks into hard to fill positions.  Relocations, H1 Visa job candidates and the experience of being pulled in inexplicably into the very private lives of my candidates was a profound experience.  A job isn't simply a job!  It is about worth, value, in some cases the desire to leave a spouse (I won't tell you about the spousal calls I had to make to see if they "knew" about their partners job search in another state).  All the while I am still working on the sly as a "charging" astrologer and writing my first book on Dreams....hmm.

What does this have to do with astrology?  I'm getting there, I'm getting there.

The dot.com fiasco hit in the late 90's and I was one of the pink slip recipients - a time when I truly learned the meaning of silver lining in clouds.  My book got published and I hit the talk and radio circuit, I loved it.  I then studied with CoachU University and opened up shop as a "professional coach" aka my permanent placement job.

I would tentatively feel out the coaching client and inquire if they minded my peeking into their birthchart.  Some of my clients included:  A CEO of a Wealth Management Company, Corporate Directors and Business Owners.  I WAS taking some risks here given the lousy wrap astrology has in Western Culture.  But, I could get to the root of the problem in one session versus three sessions because people don't check their humanity at the door at work now do they?  Nada. We take our ego strengths, ego weaknesses, family imprints, viewpoint, prejudices, life philosophies and the whole ball of wax into our respective workplaces where they are simply more cleverly disguised.    I would call that a high return on investment wouldn't you?  :)  Thankfully, my clients did too.

But, inside, deep down, I am still thinking and feeling the fear of of "if they only knew" my real passion and by now, my strong alignment with the practice of astrology.  I have seen it work over, and over, and over, and over for people in their lives helping them to understand where their fears originated, where the "not good enough tapes" were recorded, why they are so frustrated within partnership and why they aren't happy in their life!!!!  It's HARD to be happy when you are not expressing your authentic self and not engaging with your natural talents and abilities.  This should come as no surprise to anyone reading this...there are many people who are not happy out there.

So, after a life saving surgery my charted path began to figuratively "shout" that it was time for ME to walk that talk and become aligned with, and expressive of, the very thing that has been a mainstay in my life for many years.  I am still in the building phase and have to spend a lot of time "educating" folks on what it is I do and finally, I have to continue to be brave and to be who it is I really am.  Make sense?

I call astrology the pictorial representation of energy.  Each person on this planet has their very own picture all their own with the fantastic exception of twins, but that's another article.  The Moon is commonly accepted as having influence over tides, planting season and even emotions.  Would it, therefore, stand to reason that other planets in our solar system would also have some influence over the energetic patterns in our lives, personality and what I call the "soul's journey?"

Free will is always at play - astrology isn't a "sentencing" of what will and won't happen to you (although there are folks out there who will tell you differently).  Rather, it's an indication of opportunities and possibilities that include areas of happiness in career, partnership and self-care.  But, it depends on the level of awareness and consciousness within the individual and the level of intuitive interpretation of the astrologer.

As planets traverse the solar system they make aspects to your personal birth chart and hence, indicate an array of specific energetic experiences that if embraced, can add a level of both understanding and fullness to one's life.
